This is a wonderful vintage Sputnik orb pendant, in excellent condition.  Fully hallmarked for 9ct Gold, this large pendant features an array of  turquoise stones and other multi coloured paste/glass gemstones which immitate emeralds, pearls and garnets on its body, which together provide rainbow pops of colour as they catch the light.

This is one of the biggest Sputnik pendants i've seen, and it measures approximately 2cm all the way round. It weighs a healthy 3.6g.

These sputnik designed pendants came about in the early 60s when space exploration was at its height. This particular design was thought to look like the Russian Sputnik!
